They gave me options of music that I could use instead but nothing will work with this video. I was really sharing the song more than anything along with a personal video i had made. Is there anyway I can get permission to use the song? I would send an email to YouTube but it's so confusing where to send it and if it's even worth while. I have a small Cafepress store. Doesn't make much money. I'd be surprised if I made more than $100 last year. The store focuses on support for infertile couples. One of the designs lists the cost of the infertility procedures, meds, and doctors visits, followed by "finally having a baby to hold in your arm.... priceless." Well, cafepress just removed it, saying that it was copyright infringement. I told them that this likely falls under their "parody" rules. I didn't steal a logo. I didn't refer to a specific advertisement or steal an entire ad verbatim. Is this still copyright infringement? Also, cafepress sent me a letter saying that Mastercard has rights to the advertising format? Can you copyright a format? A lot of ads look alike, so how can you hold rights to a format? Sorry, I guess I'm upset because I'm this tiny, unassuming fish who did not behave purposefully malicious and I just got swallowed by a huge, mutant shark.But I don't have a service that I'm advertising. Voting Question: Is there any way to download torrents while avoiding BayTSP?

BayTSP is a company that tracks certain files being downloaded on the Internet. Then they "tell on you" and you get a letter asking you to remove the copyrighted file from your computer. (My problem is that the things I most often want to download you can't purchase in the first place!) I often download TV shows that aren't available on DVD or made-for-TV movies that never get released for purchase. I want to avoid BayTSP and still download torrents. Is there any way to avoid them altogether or "protect" myself from them? Is there any software that can help me protect myself from BayTSP, or any torrent sites that offer such a service? Furthermore, is there a way to know if BayTSP is tracking a certain file? I see when I Google "BayTSP" that I'm not the only person having issues with them, so hopefully somebody answers this question. more

Voting Question: I read the Myspace ToS...?

And I really can't see why a certain pic keeps on getting reported. It's a poster for an event and all it shows is a white background with a blood stain. Truth be told I wasn't the one who uploaded the picture, a friend of mine did and even though he told me that myspace sent a message informing him that he had to remove the pic cause it was a violation of some rule thing...I never saw the message so I have no idea what exactly they said it violated. It certainly wasn't a copyright thing though. But then again...the pic doesn't look explicit to me. Or anything else described in the ToS. Unless a blood stain is explicit in their eyes and i'm just misjudging things... But if I were to post of a pic of mine with a bleeding nose would that still be explicit cause it shows blood?.. My two best friends and I make videos for charity and put them on Youtube. We do so by miming to short clips of various songs and showing them in school for 50p a ticket. But, recently the audio has been removed from the video because we'd used a 40 second clip of 'In the Ayer' by 'Flo Rida'. We were thinking of disputing the claim because it's only a 40 second clip, but I read on the youtube site that the company, WMG, can take us to court over it. I've posted a video on Youtube twice. The first time it was removed completely, the second it had its audio removed, both times I think because of a song I used in it. Now I wouldn't be so annoyed about this except I didn't put the name of the song or the band anywhere in the title or description. The only way that Youtube managed to find it was using audio fingerprinting, which always seems like an odd method to me since I can find many more illegally uploaded copies of the same song just by typing it into the search box. Whereas my vid wouldn't show up in a search by anyone just looking to listen to the music for free. Anyway, the point is that I've been growing more and more tired of Youtube ever since they sold out like the backstreet crack whores that they are to Google. So I posted a video on youtube recently (yesterday) and was shocked to find that a user on youtube had downloaded my video, and uploaded it onto THEIR account!! They Did NOT ask permission to use it, nor put my username in the description. They cut out my intro so that it would seem it was theirs and not stolen, and added some crappy titles off windows movie maker in the beginning and end. They claimed it was theirs, which was extremely offensive. I contacted them, asking to remove it or at least put my username in the description, but refused. Does anyone know how to contact youtube to take it down? more
