So I have a freind who is from Germany and she goes back whenever we have holidays from school. The last time she went back to Germany she brought me this amazing chocolate back with her. The only brand name on the package is Milka. I did a little research and found out that it is a small company in Europe that was recently bought by Kraft. Anyways I have looked around at the World Markets in the area and can not find this chocolate anywhere. I would rather not buy it online and would be willing to drove a few hours to get this chocolate. Yeah it's that good. Does anyone know of a place in or around Alabama that sells Milka? I am a marketing and mandarin major at USC Marshall. I would like to spend 4 months in Shanghai, where I would like to intern (this summer from july till november) at big marketing companies, or companies where I could learn more about branding as I would like to pursue brand management. I speak 4 languages, my mandarin is intermediate - conversational. My main goal in spending time in China is to do an HSK exam after, and getting to a good working knowledge level in mandarin. Secondly, having worked for Sony Pictures and other marketing firms, I would like to gain valuable working experience, preferably at bigger/global companies, however I know that it may not always happen. I have looked at almost all the possible sites out there that help w internships, btw ranges $1000-5000. They differ in accomodation, chinese lessons, activities, and what companies they promise (nextstepconnections.com and chinastudyabroad.com have the big 4 marketing firms, but most expenive) the main site i used was internabroad.com/china where it lists all the companies. I also looked at uoutlook, mandarinrocks, abroadchina, hutong school, projects abroad, ELI International, NE international, Chinasolutionco, Juniorexpat... again, I would like to spend 3-4 months in Shanghai (secondly Beijing) and work in PR/advertising/marketing/branding fields interacting chinese daily and gaining good work knowledge. Internship can be paid, but stipend also good. some sites give internships below/ around $1000 but no housing/chinese classes and visa (uoutlook, ELI international) others for $5000 for 3 months give housing, chinese classes, internship and visa and activities (nextstep, hutong school) my main question is suggestions from people who know more about this. where should I turn, go with expensive ones or just pay minimal price and find housing and classes on my own.. thank you for your help moreOpen Question: In need of some creative/advertising slogan help!?

i have a couple of friends who worked for MLM ( the company name is quickstar) and they are A-N-N-O-Y-I-N-G.. these people are just soo lazy to do anything, all they do is brag about their company ( bcause they want to recruit as many people as they can) i dont think the way the do it will convince anyone to join their business. its totally pointless anyways. what they do to get money is to get points ( they'll give u brochures. it has all sorts of things from soap, groceries, vitamins, drinks, cosmetics, etc etc) and the price is not cheap, or even more expensive than general supermarkets ( like safeway, vons, whole foods, ralphs, etc) ive never even heard of the brand of their stuff, at all. what makes them think i would spend my money on something not reliable like that? and they are reallyy pushyyy. ugh.. and one day, this friend of mine called me ( we were close before, not anymore) and asks me to give him 50bucks because he needs it for his points. he ASKS for it, not borrow it or anything. tsk several other friends ( who are in MLM) also called me to attend to this seminar about MLM. and she said that " this is a really good and potential business, and instantly i thought of you! you have great potentials." tsk tsk tsk. they said the exact same thing to everyone. haha.. and one guy who was reallyyy bitchy to my guyfriend, was REALLY nice when he joined MLM. like really2 nice. before, he wouldnt even looked at my friend when he said HI. what they really dont know is that we bought their stuff just because we feel awful. ( we are somewhat forced to buy their stuff because they're my friend) i think the business is ridiculous anyways. you just collect as many points as u can ( and the way to do it is to buy it YOURSELF. yes.. you buy the stuff at the brocuhes for yourself.) or recruit people ( cause when they join there is a fee and you'll get comission from it) and the "prize" if u collect many points is movies tickets, ice cream coupon, etc. and if you are in a meeting with them, you'll be treated with cheap buffet food. HAHA sorry for being soo bitchy about this.. i have nowhere else to talk about this. =P moreResolved Question: Online Marketing (.Com versus .Net)?

can somone summarize this article using these words Unemployment Budget Inflation Recession Depression Deficit Interest Rate Deflation Prosperity Recovery Surplus National Debt Standard of Living "How many of you have jobs?" financial advisor Angela Dockum asked the marketing students at Columbia River High School. A third raised their hands. "All right. How many of you have money left over at the end of the month?" Not a hand raised. They laughed sheepishly. Dockum, a guest speaker in the class, smiled. Composed with a slight Southern lilt, she forged ahead to the nut of her lesson. "A lot of Americans are in that rut," she said. She herself had once maxed out credit cards and had to pay them off. She didn't want these 17- and 18-year-olds to make that same mistake. Not in this economy. Embarrassed or not, many of the students seemed to understand. Not because it had been taught in school — personal finance classes are rare in schools — but because they live in this rut Dockum talks about, internalizing the tension their parents feel when layoffs are announced, wondering whether they'll have the money to attend college next year, after all. Add to that news headlines about the economy collapsing, banks closing and corporate America going bankrupt, and there's little left to inspire confidence in the future. A new generation James Gaynor, 17, who invited Dockum to his class, has been through two family recessions. "Our financial situation has been shaky since 9/11," James said. In that time, his father, nearing retirement, got laid off. His mother had been attending college, so the family found itself with additional debt. Years later, his mom also got laid off, and the family has been patching together jobs to make ends meet. Gaynor, a soccer player, coaches and referees up to 25 hours a week to pay for his playing costs. He wonders what his life might have been like if he'd been born 15 years earlier. Would he have been the middle class teenager his younger years seemed to promise? Those questions aside, James knows these times have pushed him to be smarter about money, smarter about scrimping and saving. He doesn't feel entitled to anything and knows he could lose everything in a matter of days. "It's taught me to grow up and mature a lot faster than other teenagers my age, given my circumstances," he said. "But I also see it as a positive, an advantage I have over other people." That's partly why he wants to be a civil engineer, a steady, intellectually appealing job, he says. Karah Ambrose, 17, is another student who has become more money conscious. Her mother stays at home, and her stepfather works in the real estate market. So Ambrose nannies to pay for gas and school lunch. She wears her uncle's oversized green fleece, and she's proud of that. It's proof that she's frugal, that she's not wasting her money on frivolous shopping sprees. Situated in a suburban part of Vancouver, Columbia River High students aren't known to pride themselves on touting expensive brands or driving late model cars. But bragging about frugality is new. "I love to go shopping, but it's like a scavenger hunt," Ambrose said. "It's like a competition. What can I get on sale?" Ambrose said her generation of teens is somewhere between Depression-era pack rats and the current generation of 20- and 30-somethings that had vague dreams and entrepreneurial ambitions coming out of high school and college. "We understand the need to save and the want to spend," she said. Gaynor agreed and pointed out that he, too, wears hand-me-downs. When Ambrose and Gaynor talk, there's no glimmer of American dream idealism. No discussion about grandiose plans of becoming an entrepreneur, a retiree at 35, a freelance writer living off fumes and the joys of life. "My mom tells me, 'Don't worry about money, do what you want, God will provide,'"Ambrose said. "She says, 'Don't sweat the small stuff.' But I have to. How can I not think about money?" At Clark College, Professor Gene Johnson said he senses that anxiety about the future from his personal finance students more so these days than five years ago. "They recognize that corporate America is not a great generator of new and lasting jobs," Johnson said. "The job tenure has gone down. It used to be that people would go to work and retire, but that's not the case anymore." But Johnson isn't too worried for his students. He says young people — those 40 and younger — should invest all their savings in stocks in a no load mutual fund account. He recommends financial services companies TIAA-CREF and Vanguard and socking away money — 10 percent of earnings, ideally. "We thought our parents were leaving us with a terrible world," said Johnson, 62. "Inflation was raging, jobs weren't so hot, especially in 1973 when I got out of the Air Force. But now our parents look pretty doggone good. Now we moreResolved Question: In which stage of the product life cycle does a product reach its peak sales?

I saw this article online just today, see what is happening to apple. Apple goes completely nuts, switches Macs to Windows Business and Law By Christian Zibreg Friday, April 03, 2009 Cupertino (CA) - Starting next week, every new Mac sold will come preloaded with a copy of Windows Vista Premium, the result of a new direct licensing agreement between two fierce rivals. OS X Leopard will be still offered, albeit as a paid upgrade. Some analysts and investors are worried that Apple's switch to Windows signals the end of Jobs' era and others suspect the CEO himself, who is on a medical leave, plotted this Windows switch as a way of ensuring the long-term success of the Mac platform once he steps down. Needless to say, the loyal Mac base is enraged. Fumed users are accusing the Mac maker of betrayal, warning that favoring Vista at the expense of the company's own operating system will take away Mac's shine and appeal, reducing the system to a pretty, but otherwise dull beige box. Apple and its arch rival Microsoft have reached a game-changing licensing agreement that will see the Cupertino-based consumer electronics giant preload Windows Vista as the default operating system an all Macs, starting next week. The startling announcement arrives after quiet but intense negotiations between Microsoft's CEO, Steve Ballmer, and Apple's operations chief, Timothy Cook. According to early reports, Apple had desired to preload every Mac with a copy of Windows Vista Ultimate, though were negotiated into Vista Premium. "We are super excited to empower Mac users with Windows Vista Premium, nearly the most feature-complete Windows version ever," Cook said in a statement. "We thank our friends at Microsoft for their continuing commitment to the Mac platform. Preloading Windows on every new Mac sold removes the fear of switching. It's our insurance policy - whether you need it or not," he said. Apple's switch to Windows will not hike Mac prices up. The company said all new Macs will boot Windows Vista out-of-the-box. OS X Leopard will not be provided unless customers purchase the $129 operating system separately, and then install it on their own. Many analysts are shocked by the news. A high-profile Mac analyst, Gene Munster, is convinced Jobs is losing control over Apple. "The Mac OS X is heart and soul of the Mac user experience," Munster said, warning that preloading Vista on Macs at the expense of OS X will impact brand loyalty severely. "Apple is handing over control of the most important aspect of the Mac user experience to its rival," he said. "Mac users will never forget this." Some Apple investors are allegedly prepping a lawsuit and will demand that most of Apple's board of directors step down. Some investors suspect that Timothy Cook, who is currently in charge at Apple while Jobs is on his medical leave, may have ousted Jobs and seized control of the company. They remind us that prior to joining Apple, Cook served as vice president of Corporate Materials at Compaq. Ex-Apple employees now claim Cook has been pushing Jobs to license Mac hardware to OEM vendors ever since he was hired. Cook allegedly thinks this would enable Apple to post double-digit market share gains. According to these sources, the two executives often fought over the matter of Mac clones, but the intense meetings always ended with Jobs threatening to show Cook the door. "There is clearly bad blood between Steve Jobs and Timothy Cook," Munster warned. "It's the saddest day for Mac users in Apple's entire history," said Eliza Block, a 31-year old philosophy graduate student at NYU who wrote the popular 2across crosswords iPhone program. "The empire of evil has taken over," she said. But there is another facet to this story. Some industry watchers closely associated with Apple's plans point their fingers at Jobs. They claim the CEO himself plotted and personally approved the Windows switch, and then deliberately stepped out of view allowing Cook to take the fall. One source told TG Daily, "Jobs temporarily appointed Cook to shield himself from public criticism." At the end of the day, when dust and high tensions cool down, both Microsoft and Apple will profit from the move. Microsoft has its new business with Apple that will boost Vista's licensed sales. Apple will also profit from forcing new Mac buyers into the $129 OS X Leopard purchase, since the operating system will no longer come preloaded on every new Mac free of charge. End users get piece of mind by having the best of both worlds. What do you think? Will you run Vista on your new Mac? Or would you rather capitulate and be taxed an additional $129 to get OS X Leopard with your new Mac? Is Apple's Windows switch spelling doom for the platform, or is this a long overdue first step in the right direction? Share your thoughts in the comments section. moreVoting Question: HELP! Well here's the story: A private film enthusiast that just opened a records and film making company wants to bring to create a gritty urban street drama with a $75,000 budget. The private film enthusiast and owner of the company interviewed over 200 aspiring directors/writers/editors and producers. He picked the individual he wants to run and look over the project in its entirety. One thing though...that individual MUST not only direct, but also write, edit, produce, film, and cast. The movie will be played in some small screen theaters in the city and be available online for download for $5.50. The film will be marketed through all the major internet video hot-spots such as you-tube, myspace, facebook, etc. The plot, basically is three childhood friends become close up until the last two years of high school. Two drop out, one decided to finish school. The two that drop out; one decides to just sit at home all day with his marijuana and methadone addicted mother(he never knew his dad btw). The other friend turns to drug dealing and is noted for being a mid-level drug dealer throughout the film. Friend that stays at home loses his mother in a car accident, so with no support, education, or motivation, he begins to rob and drink habitually and becomes home-less. -10 YEARS LATER- The third and final friend that stayed in school becomes a narcotics detective and finds himself ironically on the case of his child hood friend(the mid-level drug dealer.) Friend that lost his mom begs for change in front of the local fast food place every morning from 6-10 am recognizes the drug dealer friend from years ago after he donates to his "welfare cup". Then ensues a "re-kindling" of the friendship that turns the homeless guys life completely around into a life of money, power, violence, sex, drugs, and jealousy. All three friends clash back together after 10 years of not speaking when the narcotic detective friend realizes his old pals' reunited, forming a drug empire the city of Baltimore hasn't seen since the heroin days. I have landed the first Interview with this brand new(probably soon to be new star of the city) director/writer/editor/producer! What questions should I ask???????? Here's what they had to say... give your opinions Thank you for taking the time to write about Wellness® Dry Dog Food. We perform a limited amount of food trials. We are passionate about our pets and their nutrition. We are very fortunate to have many consumers and employees that help us during the development of our diets and treats. We provide product for in-home trials and we talk to every person to find out how their cat or dog likes the food or treat. We also learn about the stool quality and any other benefits the food may provide such as improving skin & coat or palatability. It is also important for us to understand some other important nutritional information such as digestibility or how our food compares in taste to other brands. For this, we occasionally use kennels with standard processes that provide reliable information. The kennels are selected based on them sharing the same philosophy towards animal welfare that we do. For instance, the dogs are socialized every day and the cats enjoy a specially designed play area. The dogs and cats are also available for adoption to the kennel employees and their families. As animal lovers, we have to be comfortable with the choices we make to ensure our diets are complete, balanced and proven. We are very proud to rely on our own consumers, employees, and like-minded kennels to stand behind our natural products. Manufacturing accounts for around three-quarters of total exports of goods and services, which amounted to 29% of GDP in 2000. The state has long played an active role in French industry, but government involvement was greatly accelerated by a series of nationalization measures enacted by the Socialists in 1982. By 1983, about one-third of French industry—3,500 companies in all—was under state control. However, there was some privatization during 1986–88, later resumed in 1993, with 21 state-owned industries, banks, and insurance companies scheduled to be sold. Although substantial progress had been made in privatization in 2001, the government still controlled such industries as aeronautics, defense, automobiles, energy, and telecommunications. The steel industry, which employed some 77,300 workers in 1991 (down from 156,000 in 1979), suffered from the impact of worldwide recession in the early 1980s. In 1995, production totaled 18 million tons of crude steel, placing France 11th in world production. Production has been down by a third since 1994 because of international competition and a general shift away from steel to aluminum and plastics. The French aluminum industry is dominated by a factory in Dunkirk owned by Pechiney, which was privatized at the end of 1995. In 1995, the French automotive industry, ranked fourth in the world, directly employed 350,000 workers and contributed indirectly to almost 2.6 million jobs. Over 3,628,000 passenger cars were produced in 2001, and over 55,000 commercial vehicles were produced in 2000. The two leading companies are PSA (which controls the Peugeot and Citroen brands) and Renault, the latter state-owned. Approximately 60% of production is exported helping the automotive industry to post a $6 billion trade surplus in 1995. The domestic market, however, has fallen pray to foreign competitors, especially from Germany and Japan, forcing the French auto makers to make greater use of robots, layoff workers, and open plants abroad. The French aircraft industry, not primarily a mass producer, specializes in sophisticated design and experimental development. Some of its models, such as the Caravelle and the Mirage IV, have been used in over 50 countries. Aérospatiale, among the world's leading makers of commercial aircraft, became a state company after World War II. The Airbus program dominates civil aeronautics. The chemical industry, although not as strong its rivals in Germany and the US, ranks fourth in the world employing nearly 300,000 and generating over $70 billion in revenues. In 1994, the pharmaceuticals, perfume, and cosmetics industry employed 195,000, and posted a trade surplus of $6.4 billion. The electrical and electronics industry employed 330,000 workers in 1994 and had a turnover of $59.2 billion. The textile industry employed 300,000 workers in 1994. The food processing industry is a major force in the French economy, producing a considerable trade surplus of $6.2 billion in 1995. Cooperative ventures are particularly important to the food industry, representing 16% of turnover and 11% of food industry jobs. Trade surplus in dairy products was $2.6 billion in 1995. In 1994, France produced 54.6 million hectoliters of wine, making it the world's second-largest producer after Italy. The great concentrations of French industry are in and around Paris, in the coal basin of northern France, in Alsace and Lorraine, and around Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand. French industry, in general, is strong on inventiveness, inclined toward small-scale production of high-quality items, and reluctant in many branches to adopt modern methods of mass production. The French government offers subsidies and easy credit to firms undertaking relocation, reconversion, or plant modernization. Agribusiness is an increasingly important industry, supplying France's vast number of restaurants and hotels. moreVoting Question: What do I do when my boss gives me no clear boundaries?
Clever me one day had an idea that she needed to show the boss that the company brand needed more promoting and more marketing etc etc etc The job became hers. Problem - there's no clear boundaries, rules or guides to what I am supposed to be doing!!!!!! I have one idea it's great, the next nope, but I don't know quite where I am going, even when I ask, it's not clear. I am researching and learning and doing at the same time. I hate not knowing, I hate making mistakes. It's not like he's horribly critical, he understands that I am learning, but I can't deal (excuse the language) fking up. Anytime I get it wrong I just get so depressed and I don't know what to do, and even I do know, I can't bear the thought f having to get up and go to work. Maybe should just go be a nun. moreOpen Question: Hi, everybody! Can you help me?
